Expected Learning Outcomes

  1. Explain the fundamentals of generative AI, compare different large language models (LLMs), and apply prompt-engineering techniques to create text, images, audio, and simple interactive content for education, communication, or self-expression.
  2. Plan and execute a small AI-assisted creative project (for example, a 3-minute short video, teaching kit, one-page website, or quiz pack), including goal setting, task breakdown, tool selection, and iterative improvement based on feedback.
  3. Confidently use a curated set of AI and EdTech tools commonly available in Hong Kong (for example, web-based LLMs, image generators, text-to-speech tools, simple video editors, and quiz platforms) to support teaching, learning, or creative work.
  4. Understand key ethics and safety considerations in AI usage (for example, data privacy, bias, intellectual property, deepfakes, and voice cloning), and apply good practices to ensure responsible use in educational and creative contexts.
  5. Present and explain AI-assisted outputs (videos, slides, websites, quizzes) to peers or stakeholders, clearly describing design decisions, tool choices, and human contribution.

Teaching Plan

Module 1: AI Video Generation and Voice-over

Learners use AI for scriptwriting, visual generation, and voice-over production to create a 30-second environmental-awareness video suitable for school competitions or social media sharing.

LessonTopicExpected Learning OutcomesActivities & AssessmentLength
1Custom LLM Chatbot and Video Script
  • Build a custom chatbot that consistently outputs scripts in the required format
  • Use LLM tools to generate and optimize video-script structure
  • Understand the differences between AI models
Goal briefing, building a custom chatbot, prompt techniques, and model-comparison exercises.1.5 hours
2Image Generation and Rough Video Cut
  • Extract visual requirements from script segments and convert them into image prompts
  • Use an AI image generator to create environmental visuals and understand key precautions
  • Assemble a rough cut with images and subtitles in an AI video editor
Introduction to image/video generation, hands-on with AI video tools, and creation of an individual themed video.1.5 hours
3Digital Human and Voice-over
  • Refine narration text for natural timing and voice delivery
  • Generate AI voice-over and understand the basics of custom voice and digital humans
  • Mix audio with video and export the final 30-second product
Hands-on with digital humans and TTS, turning script into voice-over, and completing the module deliverable.1.5 hours

Module 2: AI-Assisted Teaching Slides and Activity Design

Learners (especially teachers or student leaders) design a 30-45 minute lesson on any topic, including learning outcomes, activities, and a 10-12 slide deck, using AI as a planning partner.

LessonTopicExpected Learning OutcomesActivities & AssessmentLength
1AI Whiteboard Concepts and Flowchart Generation
  • Use AI to break broad topics into 3-4 subtopics suitable for a 30-45 minute lesson
  • Draft clear, learner-centered Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)
  • Visualize lesson structure with AI-assisted concept maps or course flowcharts
Introduction to AI whiteboard tools and concept-map prompting strategies.1.5 hours
2Lesson Activity Brainstorming and Outputs
  • Generate multiple candidate activities per subtopic with AI (for example, quizzes, group tasks, role-play, simulations, experiments)
  • Evaluate and adjust activities based on class profile, classroom constraints, and engagement needs
  • Prototype at least one interactive activity using an AI-powered quiz or game platform
Generate random quizzes and assessments, then develop game elements for classroom activities.1.5 hours
3Slide Deck (PPT) Generation
  • Use AI to propose a slide-by-slide structure aligned with selected ILOs and activities
  • Build a 10-12 page teaching slide deck with AI-assisted slide tools, balancing information, visuals, and activity prompts
  • Conduct a short micro-teaching segment to test how slides support explanation and student engagement
Explore PPT-generation tools and complete the slide deck using supportive AI tools.1.5 hours

Module 3: AI-Assisted Personal Website

Learners design and build a simple one-page website to tell a personal or brand story. With AI, they extract and organize content (About, services/skills, portfolio/highlights, contact), generate clean HTML and basic CSS, and iteratively refine the page in a browser or online editor.

LessonTopicExpected Learning OutcomesActivities & AssessmentLength
1Discovering and Structuring Your Story
  • Identify the key elements of a personal or brand story
  • Use AI to transform raw notes into 3-5 structured sections suitable for a one-page site
  • Draft short bilingual paragraphs suitable for web presentation
Website overview and AI-assisted content generation.1.5 hours
2Generating an HTML Skeleton with AI
  • Explain what HTML is and how it structures webpages in plain language
  • Use AI to generate a clean one-page HTML template containing story sections
  • Preview generated HTML in a browser and visually identify each section
Introduction to HTML coding, generation of structured HTML code, and testing/refining UI skeletons.1.5 hours
3Styling and Lightweight Interactions
  • Use AI to add basic CSS styling (colors, typography, spacing) to a one-page site
  • Implement at least one simple interactive element with AI guidance (for example, back-to-top link, smooth scrolling, hover effect)
Introduction to CSS coding, deeper understanding of buttons/links, and website completion.1.5 hours
