Expected Learning Outcomes
- Understand major environmental impacts of plastic waste and the concept of circular economy
- Identify common plastics used in 3D printing (PLA, PET, PETG) and household plastics suitable for recycling
- Describe the process of turning waste plastic into 3D-printing filament (sorting, cleaning, melting, extrusion)
- Use Tinkercad to design simple 3D models related to green energy or environmental themes
- Export printable file formats (for example, STL) and explain links between design choices and sustainability
- Reflect on how recycling and design can support sustainable innovation
