Expected Learning Outcomes

  1. Understand major environmental impacts of plastic waste and the concept of circular economy
  2. Identify common plastics used in 3D printing (PLA, PET, PETG) and household plastics suitable for recycling
  3. Describe the process of turning waste plastic into 3D-printing filament (sorting, cleaning, melting, extrusion)
  4. Use Tinkercad to design simple 3D models related to green energy or environmental themes
  5. Export printable file formats (for example, STL) and explain links between design choices and sustainability
  6. Reflect on how recycling and design can support sustainable innovation

Assessment Policy
